Van Appia and Van der Lee is a young and dynamic law firm. We help you with with all kind of cases, but the emphasis of our practice lies in criminal and immigration law. At this moment seven lawyers are working in the firm. Our office is situated in Amsterdam, on the Overtoom 323.

Judicial advice |
At the moment you are confronted with a legal problem, we advice you to contact us directly by telephone. We will shortly examine the nature of the problem and -if necessary- we will plan a meeting on the shortest possible term. In this first meeting we will, together with you, try to find a solution or to define a strategy.

Honorarium |
The payment of a lawyer depends on the salary of the person involved and his/her wishes. We work on the basis of a legal aid (pro deo) as well as payment by the person him/her self. Legal aid is a system whereby the Dutch state pays for the salary of the lawyer. The person involved has to pay an "own contribution" (eigen bijdrage), which depends on the salary being earned by the person. In the situation of payment by the client himself, the salary will be calculated on the basis of houres x hourrate. The hourrate depends on the experience of the lawyer and varies between E 150,- en E 220,- per houre ex VAT. Of course we will inform you about the costs during the first visit.
